Connaught Hall is a fully catered intercollegiate hall of residence
of the University of London.

Warden: Dr Adrian Clark MBBS MCEM

Community & social life in Hall

The Warden is responsible for the social and community life of the Hall. He is assisted by five student Senior Members and the elected Residents' Club Committee.

We are a diverse Hall community with a culture of equality and tolerance. Living in Hall is an amazing opportunity to meet people you might otherwise never mix with, learn about the values, beliefs, and lifestyles of others, and help others to enjoy the things that interest and excite you.

Every year, the Warden, Senior Members, and Residents' Club Committee organise events to welcome new residents in September / October, and continue to provide a wide range of social, cultural, sporting, and entertainment activities throughout the year. None of this is possible without active engagement from all parts of the Hall community: we are a truly participative community and rely on the enthusiasm of Hall residents to organise some really exciting events.

In any community, there will be times when members disagree or experience conflict. The Warden is experienced in helping residents resolve these issues in an adult, self-directed way.

Please make the most of our positive, friendly Hall and contribute what you can: everyone has something to give to the community and everyone can benefit from taking part in our Hall social life. We strongly encourage you to eat in the dining hall at meal times to meet other residents and the staff, and to visit the Hall bar: even if you don't drink, it's a great place to hang out and meet new people.
